Marcus Sanderlin

Marcus Sanderlin (he/him) serves as the Director of the Office of Leadership Engagement at Wake Forest University. In this role, Marcus drives campus-wide leadership strategy, empowering students to develop the skills, competencies, and self-awareness needed to create meaningful, purpose-led impact, both during their time at Wake Forest and beyond. Central to this work is a focus on purpose development and life design, helping students align their values, experiences, and aspirations as they navigate complex personal, academic, and professional decisions.

Marcus brings over 13 years of experience at the intersection of leadership development, purpose, and career readiness, supporting students as they explore their identities, articulate their stories, and design lives of meaning and impact. Prior to joining the Office of Leadership Engagement in January 2026, Marcus served as the Director of the Market Readiness and Employment team in the Wake Forest University School of Business, where he led strategic initiatives to support students as they ventured the the career navigation process.


Juwan Jacobs

Juwan Jacobs (he/him) serves as the Associate Director in the Office of Leadership Engagement. In this role, Juwan facilitates and evaluates leadership development programs that support both individual and organizational growth. Juwan oversees key initiatives such as CliftonStrengths and the ACC Leadership Symposium and serves as the Program Coordinator for LeaderShape. He also collaborates with campus stakeholders to support student organizations and fraternity and sorority leadership development, and contributes to advisor training and support for newly chartered organizations. Prior to joining the team in July 2025, Juwan worked at Duke University in the Office of Student Involvement and Leadership, where he supported student government, leadership development, and fraternity and sorority life for three years.


Melina Traiforos

Melina Traiforos (she/her) serves as the Coordinator of Leadership Initiatives in the Office of Leadership Engagement. Melina’s responsibilities include supervising the office’s student employees, overseeing marketing efforts, and coordinating Leadership Week in the spring. She also collaborates with the OLE team to deliver leadership workshops and initiatives that enhance the student experience. As a student, Melina held multiple campus positions, including intern for the Wake Forest University Press and head of writing for The Magnolia, which aligned with her passion for uplifting the arts and amplifying student voices.
